Complete Guide for Your ASQ Stay in Bangkok
Enjoy Your Stay!
ASQ stands for Alternative State Quarantine and it’s an option for all travellers that will be visiting Thailand in the near future. It’s the best way to quarantine yourself before you head out and start exploring the country. So, here’s a quick guide on everything you need to know about an ASQ stay in Bangkok.
Booking a Hotel
Now, if you’re looking to confirm your stay at a prominent Bangkok quarantine hotel – for instance, the Avani Atrium Bangkok – the process is relatively simple. You can either make the confirmation directly with the hotel or use the travel agency Agoda.
The Quarantine Period
As of April 1st, 2020, the mandatory quarantine period for visitors was reduced from 14 days to 10 days. Keep in mind, however, that if you’re travelling from a country with a prevalent COVID-19 variation, you’ll still have to seclude yourself for 14 days.
Meals and Amenities
In general, the minimal ASQ Stay package will include extensive TV package deals and easy access to select outdoor facilities. You will be served three meals a day and might be subjected to routine COVID-19 tests from time to time.
Rules to Keep in Mind
Now, there are a few rules to keep in mind during your stay at a quarantined hotel. First off, you can only share rooms if you’re a married couple – so do keep that fact in mind. You’re also prohibited from having alcohol in your rooms.
