Khunying was trained in Japan at the Ozawa Doll School. The dolls created by her and her team are exquisitely handcrafted symbolizing Thai Culture. Each doll is meticulously created by dexterous artisans who have been involved in the craft for generations. People from around the world visit the Bangkok Dolls workshop every year to witness how the dolls are created. Formed in 1957, Bangkok Dolls has won many international accolades such as the honorary gold peacock feather award from the 3rd international folklore dolls biennial in Cracow, Poland. Those visiting the Bangkok Dolls workshop can also explore the intriguing Bangkok Doll Museum. The museum is home to around 400 handmade dolls. A tour in the museum gives its visitor the chance to discover Thailand’s vibrant culture, rural life, hill tribes, and traditional costumes all through the miniature figurines. The key highlight of the museum is the doll characters representing the Khon Dance which is based on the Ramakien. This drama depicts both the evil and good forces.
