Planning Your Visit
This attraction is not in the city itself but around 40 km away; when it comes to finding serviced apartments, Sathorn is a great place to be based since properties like Ascott Embassy Sathorn Bangkok are convenient to plan trips to such sites. Taking a taxi is an easy way to get to Safari World, though you can find companies that offer tour packages with transport included. Keep in mind the site is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm and remember to wear light clothing and bring a hat / cap since it can get quite hot and sunny.
The Safari Park
The Safari Park is one of the main sections here and features an area of around 8 km that you can drive or be driven around to witness an array of creatures spanning from Africa to Asia. On the journey, which lasts about 45 minutes, you will get to observe rhinos, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, camels and a wide range of birdlife. Of course, you can look forward to seeing carnivores too like tigers, lions and bears!
Marine World
The other main section is called Marine World where you can not only observe marine life but also enjoy seven shows that are bound to be a hit with the kids; they can have their picture taken with some of the animals too. Amongst these, the dolphin show is popular as you get to see these playful marine mammals, while the sea lion and orangutan shows will have you in fits of laughter. You get a show with elephants and another with colourful birds as well.
More to Enjoy
When planning your visit, look to get to Safari World Bangkok by 10:00am so you can see tigers being fed which will be a standout experience. If you want to get up close to animals, head to the giraffe feeding platform to feed these tall ‘giants’ of the animal kingdom and you may get a friendly lick or two as well! Make time to also go to the Jungle Cruise River section to experience a 30-minute boat ride to see more wildlife.
