Tipped to be the biggest mall in the country, CentralWorld is no ordinary retail Mecca in Bangkok. Here’s everything you need to know about enjoying a shopping spree at the venue.
At a Glance
Occupying an area of 830,000 square meters, CentralWorld is one of the most popular shopping compounds in Thailand let alone in Bangkok city where it is based. Home to a whopping five hundred retail stores, the mall also boasts nearly a hundred restaurants and cafes. Fifteen cinemas and two department stores are also part of this complex where one also finds a supermarket, food court and a Kid’s Zone.
Basement Level
At the lowest level of the CentralWorld mall, tourists will find businesses that provide dry cleaning services and clothing alternations as well as a local post office.
Level One and Two
The first level of CentralWorld is dedicated to cosmetics and beauty products although luxury spa items are also found here, along with a Jim Thompson silk outlet. The 2nd floor of the mall is where The Body Shop and other beauty brands are found.
Level Three
Those based at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel or any one of the other Sukhumvit hotels in Bangkok are likely to spend most of their time shopping among the 3rd-floor stores at CentralWorld. This is where famous pharmacies such as Boots and UNIQLO clothing and sportswear brands such as Adidas and Nike are found.
Level Six
The mall’s Toys ‘R’ Us outlet and some of its best food outlets are found here including Dunkin Donuts, the Spaghetti Factory and Tha Siam noodle.
Level Seven
SF World Cinema is on this floor alongside excellent dining hubs including the Central Food Hall and the Mango Tree Bistro.
