Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is infamous for its nightlife. Live music, nightclubs, discos and bars; the exuberant city has got it all. There is so much to do that you could easily be dazed in the middle of a busy street. It helps to plan out each day that you spend here because your financial health can take a serious toll before you even get started. You will have the most fun with a few basic do’s and don’t’s in your mind.

The Royal City Avenue (RCA) is the centre of Bangkok’s party scene. The streets are lined with nightclubs and bars that usually stay open until 6 a.m. These places attract many tourists as well as fun loving groups of locals. Whichever genre of music you enjoy, you will find a club/ bar that plays it. Another place you want to be in the night is the Sukhumvit Road where boisterous parties will keep you going till dawn. However, when choosing accommodation, you might need to stay away from these areas. A Hotel in Bangkok Riverside is an infinitely better choice. The river banks are populated with luxurious resorts such as AVANI Riverside Bangkok Hotel.

When travelling in a taxi or tuk-tuk, insist on having the metre on. Most taxi drivers will try to overcharge you. It is also important that you understand a little about the Thai culture. Thai people laugh a lot. Most of the time, they are laughing ‘with’ you and not ‘at’ you. However, it is often impossible to know that. They will also call you fat and not mean any offence. Don’t get annoyed or create a scene. Finally, too much ‘Chang’ beer will give you a ‘Changeover’. But you can choose to disregard this last advice because hangovers are part and parcel of the Bangkok experience.
