Location
The M. R. Kukrit Heritage Home is Soi Phra Phinij off Sathorn Street in Bangkok. The closest BTS is Chong Nonsi. The M.R. Kukrit Heritage Home
Five teakwood houses on stilts in traditional Thai style are interconnected by a wooden corridor set in a pond garden of typical Thai design. The earliest house is over a century old. They house M.R Kukrit’s invaluable personal collection of traditional Asian and Thai cultural artefacts.
A pavilion with a center stage was used for traditional Thai Khon Dance displays and has exhibits of Khon Dance masks. The library holds books ranging from fiction to philosophy. The bedroom has a bed supposed to belong to King Rama II–M.R.Kukrit’s great grandfather.

A shrine room and a small bird watching garden are other interesting features.

M.R. Kukrit is the founder of the first Thai Political Party. He was a former Thai Prime Minister. A man of high family background he was Oxford educated.
M.R. Kukrit was a writer/poet and national artist as well . He had wide ranging interests and was known as the Renaissance Man of Thai culture.
