Retail Therapy Galore at the MBK Centre in Bangkok
Home to around 2,000 stores, the MBK Centre in Bangkok is one of the city's most famous malls offering fashion, jewellery, electronics, entertainment and plenty of food options!
Be you a casual shopper or bona fide shopaholic heading to Bangkok, the MBK Centre or “MBK” is one place you should not miss. Here’s a quick guide to help you prepare for some retail therapy!
Planning Your Visit
MBK can be found in the Pathumwan area of Bangkok near the National Stadium. Connected to the Pathumwan Princess Hotel, the mall can be reached via the BTS Skytrain (National Stadium Station) and is open from 10:00am to 10:00pm; the mall has eight floors and around 2,000 stores so there’s plenty to explore!
Floors 01 – 03
The first few floors are where you will find everything from fashion and jewellery to cosmetics and organic products. Other highlights you can see on a visit from your Bangkok City hotel is the four-storey Tokyu Department Store, a section offering packaged dried goods and an area where Muay Thai fight nights are held!
Floors 04 – 06
The fourth floor is where you will find one of the country’s largest mobile markets, while fifth floor highlights include zones for all the latest digital cameras, fashion and food at “The Fifth Food Avenue”. The Craft Village with its many souvenirs and the MBK Food Island can be found on the sixth floor.
Floors 07 – 08
For entertainment, the top two floors at the MBK Centre are where you want to head to. Be it watching movies at SF Cinema City, bowling at SF Strike Bowl or singing your heart out on a karaoke session, there’s much to look forward to!
